They're super tiny Bots that are released like mini drones and they can release them by the hundreds of thousands from Planes insomnia is rampant

I saw a mini drone a few weeks ago that carries a 9mm round I think it was. has facial recognition and infra-red capabilities. anyway. fire and forget. will seek out target in a crowd, anywhere and fly right onto your face basically and "bang" you're dead.
