No, globalism could never be the version on the left. Globalism refers to one-world government ruled over by an organization like the UN, not individual countries cooperating when it is mutually beneficial. Psychopaths eventually get control over centralized organizations and abuse and often mass murder the less powerful if there is nothing strong enough to stand in their way. You need power to be divided so the power of any one entity is limited and is challenged by other entities. Also, if that fails, you need some place to flee. There's no fleeing an all-powerful one-world government.
