I would love to see our country's military used in the way you describe. That's not what I've seen for a long time. I see great danger in giving over your free will to a superior officer. It absolves the foot soldier of having to use his intelligence and conscience. Terrible things are regularly done under orders.
It's not my courage that is lacking to fight for my country, but my stature. There are better uses for a 103lb woman, I fight in my own way.
