There are similarities between the Ukraine conflict and 1939.

The German government at that time had repeatedly asked the British leadership to influence the Polish government to stop the pogroms against Germans in the Polish-occupied territories.

The attack on Poland was postponed several times in the hope that there could be a peaceful solution.

This hope was in vain.

The only way to stop the killings of Germans was the invasion.

After the German goals were achieved, the German government made it clear that Germany had no interest in a permanent occupation of Poland.

In 2022 there was no other option for Putin to stop the murder of Russians in Ukraine.

Putin appealed several times to the international community to stop the killing in Ukraine, but in vain.

Certainly there were other reasons for the invasion of the Russians.

I just want to point out the parallels.

Putin also says that he does not want to occupy Ukraine.

It should be noted that in 1939 war was declared on Germany because of the invasion of Poland, but the Soviet invasion of eastern Poland, which took place two weeks later, did not trigger any reaction.
