Lankford attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. That wouldn't account for his quick rise in the Senate, but it could explain his pointman status in the border "war". There is a "disease" in Protestantism called SOCIAL JUSTICE. Back at the beginnings of Progressivism there were many pastors pushing the new Social Justice philosophy. I would not be surprised Lankford knows all about Walter Rauschenbusch, an early Baptist promoter of Social Justice.
