Half of the teachers that I had were bone heads.
And many of them were arrogant bone heads.
I have a friend who teaches nursing. She has her Masters in nursing and about 10 yrs. back tried to get into a PhD program. But it seems that the people who got accepted into the PhD program had to be a certain color and her skin was too light.

yes, my friend who teaches nursing is always walking on eggshells with what she says and how she says it. It's gotten ridiculous.
Another friend of mine who is also a nurse with a Masters in Pediatrics told me the old joke about doctors is:
What do you call a doctor who graduated at the bottom of his class?
Answer: Doctor.

And maybe word of mouth if you know someone with first hand knowledge of a doc. that's on the list.
I've been thru a lot of lousy docs. but I've had a few good ones too.
