If you ever read the bible, you will notice how God very often takes things that are bad, and flips them into something good. Jacob is God's servant, that isn't going to change. God blinded his servant as a punishment but it won't last forever. My personal belief is, that now that Israel is back in the land, the last days are upon us. She has borne her punishment for past breaches as well as the main reason of not recognizing her Messiah when He showed up AT THE PREDICTED TIME.
