Yeah I was raised Roman Catholic, I know all about the whole confession thing. Unfortunately, the church has twisted the meaning of 'confessing your sins.' What the bible is actually saying is, confess your sins yes, but not in the manner proposed by the catholic church, i.e. tell it to some priest, what it really means is, confess/admit your sins. Admit that you HAVE them. There is no need to enumerate them because God already knows what they are better than even we do.
