Hitting now…LASCO has been snowing out from all the charged protons. We're already at a Kp of 6 in G2 geomagnetic storm. Protons were almost to an S3 radiation storm before easing a bit steady at S2. More likely inbound. The part of the CME we actually can't see it the part directly headed towards us because the sun's radiation washes it out. The upstream sats give us about an hour or so of a heads up as to what to expect. Watch SOHO, LASCO, and ACE. That CME appeared mostly northward, but could've had a bunch of plasma directly on track to us and time will tell. Auroras should get pretty good, but a lot of other things might get lit up on the ground. If any astronauts are up in orbit, they need to be in radiation precautions if those protons jump up anymore.
