Anon recalls a story from one of the Thud pilots in Viet Nam. Said the missions they flew in Nam were not what the jet was designed for and losses were very high. He was on a low-level bombing run and something went in one of his intakes. When he landed they found a boot with a piece of leg still in the intake. He was glad it didn't make it inside.
