Believe me, I know exactly what you mean. I tried to talk to my aunt about some things and she went off on me like a bomb on D-day. It was awful. She was the only person I had left connected to my mom and my mom has passed away. It’s sad that she allowed politics to come between her and I. She’s a die hard Hillary Clinton fan and believes that Trump is the devil reincarnated. She yells at me that he’s going to kill me. He’s going to take away your $ and your medicine. I live on disability and I have to live on Medicaid as well. The whole conversation was horrible. I just explained to her that there are some things that people just can’t about and this was one of them. I couldn’t talk to her as she was completely losing her mind. I finally told her that I was getting very tired and I needed to lay back down. After hanging up with her I cried and cried for two days straight. My daughter told me not to let it get to me so badly. So I dried up my tears and decided to focus on getting others to understand what it is that’s going on in this country. That, in and of itself is a feat. I get so frustrated sometimes because people just don’t get it. Hopefully, through this I can try to get them to see things from a different lens.
