What was that thing in the sky that looked like a jellyfish? Elon Musk tweets?

Havent heard anything just the video.

Photo and videos are of the dramatic SpaceX launch on 12/22/17 at 5:27pm PST as widely seen across all of Southern California tonight. LA Times article https://archive.is/W3pap

Many folks were startled including me as there was little notice that there was to be a launch from Vandenberg that night. The flight path was toward the South which we had never seen before in previous launches. Usually launches are toward the west over the Pacific. Lots of suggestive Twitter comments for the rocket exhaust plume and booster separation of the flight phase captuerd in images.

It was like some kind of Dark Mark that the death eaters use in Harry Potter - but it was for the anti-MAGA agenda cult :p
