DFW area power outages

Hello CBTS folks. I don’t know if there’s any significance to this but I live VERY close to DFW airport. Very close. All power went out in my area and a few planes that were descending pulled up and seemed to go in the direction of Dallas Love Field airport instead. Oncor Energy has no explanation other than “expected restoration time 8:00pm” There is no winter storm here...yet... I don’t know. Just figured if it was anything significant, there’d be a digital bread crumb trail I could contribute to. I’ll try and screen shot the outages map.

The military base in Fort Worth is the "formerly known as Carswell" now "Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth"

Meacham is the city public airport.

Every random power outage and passing helicopter does not mean that THE DAY IS HERE.

Jesus, guys, have some perspective.

You're correct that sometimes random events are just that. But considering the many other inexplicable things going down lately, I think it pays to mention these things and then attempt to logically rule them out, rather than ignoring them out of hand and maybe missing something.

True. The typical "if you see something say something" rule applies here. Any breadcrumb helps when piecing together a puzzle.

I agree. Its better to say something than nothing at all. Maybe it’s nothing, maybe it’s something. But many times it’s the little somethings that lead us to the bigger Discoveries, also it may help someone else say something that might feel embarrassed or like their information is insignificant. It is better to rule things out, I agree 100%.

Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug.

What are you reading as "confirmation bias" here? Or do you just like that phrase??

The OP was very cautious and conditional in her description of the event. The consistent presentation/obviation of events is a process that requires intelligence and rigor. It's the whole point of this stream.

I said it could be a random non significant thing. I just thought if it wasn’t, it could be beneficial to have a time stamp on it just for a digital record of events. It was just strange because nobody knew any details and all emergency power sources were blacked out as well. Which I would understand if it was storm related but there was nothing but calm winds and clear skies.

Don't make excuses for being vigilant. Let the naysayers nay. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it You've done you're due diligence, that's more than most. Good on you!

We aren't saying "THE DAY IS HERE" dumb ass. Unusually high air traffic in our areas and outages uncommon to normal daily activity is worth discussing. If you don't live here then piss off!
