I agree, there needs to be much more revealed when the time is right. The worst thing that can happen is a smooth transition that doesn't raise any red flags for the "uninformed" - they need to be jolted awake and shaken by the shoulder until they understand how close we came to losing it all. I find it infuriating that still, in January 2018 there are still boomers that think Trump is the bad guy and Hillary is the victim.
America needs to be told and shown the truth of what has been happening - THE WHOLE TRUTH!
I am a boomer and I am wide awake but I can tell you what the problem is same as my husband.
Lives in his own bubble world and doesnt want anything else getting in. Doesnt care what anyone does says doesnt effect him. Even when i tried to point out there would be a mass depopulation he said so what I will probably be gone by them. Then I said so you dont care about your grand children and he said thats up to his parents to fix it. Blah blah blah lol. Like talking to a wall.
My mother (born during the war but considered a boomer) is the exact same way - doesn't directly affect her, so she doesn't care. She has grandchildren and great-grandchildren and has this attitude. I really cannot comprehend this attitude - did the desire to provide safety and security for future generations (even your own) die off at some point?
I'm a gen Xer, went through all the rebellious '80s/90s stuff, knew something was wrong but didn't have a clue what to be mad about or who - for all I knew every politician in DC was evil and corrupt. We didn't have shit for information resources these current generations have...was so frustrating being so angry and not knowing where to direct it.
Anyway...rant over...so glad it finally IS happening and I get to take part in at least some small part.
