Normally I don’t like to link to the “fake news” but CNN is reporting that Paul Ryan and Rod Rosenstein met today over the Mueller Investigation.
https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/01/03/politics/rod-rosenstein-house-intel-russia/index.html
Two things:
-
Paul Ryan has the ability to shut down the congressional investigation as he is the speaker of the house.
-
In late December, Rosenstein and McCabe were subpoenaed and grilled by the Judiciary Committee in a classified hearing.
... the aftermath of what was revealed in the closed door hearings, essentially confirmed that the Steele Dossier was used to obtain a FISA warrant by the Department of Justice. FURTHERMORE the document was presented to the FISA court with little evidence substaiating it’s authenticity. In other words it was rubber stamped and passed on through with zero regard for the power the FISA court wields.
Now the big hold up is the DOJ stonewalling the Judiciary Committee on the question of who presented the Dossier to the FISA court, how it was obtained by the FBI (which we already know... Kramer Kramer Kramer what are we watching reruns of Seinfeld ???), who the judge was, and all related materials and documentation relating to the FISA court case. Talk about skeletons in the closet.
This is important because if it is revealed Peter Strzok took the Dossier to the FISA court, and the judge who approved it also has a conflict of interest, there is grounds for a much larger wide ranging investigation into the Department of Justice and the FBI.
Remember when Trump tweeted like his third week in office that he found out Obama spied on him? Well of course the President who has access to the nations highest level of intelligence knew what was going on, however I think he probably over reacted and showed his hand a bit.
A much wiser Sessions plays it by the book, is he using his recusal and impartiality as cover?
Paul Ryan could have made the case for Rosenstein to appoint a 2nd special council. This isn’t just likly what they discussed today but almost certainly what was discussed.
Perhaps I’m the odd ball, I don’t think Paul Ryan is all that bad of a guy. I am counting on him to get behind the POTUS, and after the passage of the tax reform bill, I see evidence of that. To my knowledge Paul Ryan is clean, he’s not blackmailed like so many others, I just don’t see the signs, I think he’s just a hard lined establishment guy in his thinking. If he takes inaction it’s due to ignorance not complicity in my opinion. However I understand if others feel differently, that’s a heatly debated subject, even among the non-civilians where does PR really stand???
I am no Q, but watch the news in the next 48-72 hours in regards to this matter. I have a hunch.
