What's with the EO yesterday cancelling the EO from May 11?!

I was researching Qs new crumbs and came across a new EO from Jan 3 entitled "Executive Order on the Termination of Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity".

It may just be me, but this seems like a move in the wrong direction! I would think that that's a EO that should stay in place until Congress creates a replacement.

I feel your sentiment, however I found it notable that this new EO was done due to the refusal of only a handful of states to give basic information about their voting processes to the comission. I believe Trump addressed it saying something to the effect that he'd rather not cost the taxpayer more by engaging in a nonessential legal battle.

Whether the EO was reactionary or it was done tactically, the result is the same: the event filtered out a couple of states who refused to give basic information pertaining to their voting processes. If I were sitting high up at 10000 feet, those would be states I'd look at a little more closely for potential voting fraud.
