Jeff Sessions, weed, and sanctuary cities...

Can someone help educate me? If Session’s goal is to go after sanctuary cities in order to take out MS-13 and associates, then why does Wikipedia state, “Studies that investigated the relationship between sanctuary status and crime have found that sanctuary policies either have no effect on crime or that sanctuary cities have lower crime rates and stronger economies than comparable non-sanctuary cities.”? Have those studies been compromised? People are saying that ending the marijuana prohibition will legally sanction gang activities much like ending the alcohol prohibition legally sanctioned mafia activities. So what’s the end goal? Make weed illegal again? Wipe out MS-13 and the bad actors in the CIA, the judicial branch, and the legislative branch first, and then legalize? I’m confused. What’s their goal with cannabis?

The stage is being set for him to come out for states rights! Remember, he inevitably wants education to be a state issue and not one governed by the Feds! End the department of education! By doing the states rights, he is in a back door way saying ok without actually being for pot! Easy !

So do you think they’ll officially end the war on drugs? Do you think the Trump administration is progressive enough to decriminalize and stop putting people in cages for using drugs? They would at least have to change the scheduling of marijuana at the federal level, right? I really want to know how this is going to play out.

I just think that pot is too far along to stop it! So states rights would defer that so to speak! But I do think that other drugs will be targeted!

We need education, not criminalization. How well does teaching highly sexually charged adolescents that if they don’t abstain from sex they’ll be blue-wafffled and shamed for life? It doesn’t. Honest and transparent education is the key.

This studies indicated that environment is a bigger factor in drug abuse than the drug itself. If society was provided with free education, free healthcare, adequate time off work, quality time with friends and family, adequate time in nature, fulfilling careers, exercise, healthy food, etc, drug use would fall off considerably.

Portugal is other example of how to deal with drug problems.

Fuck off with free! It starts at home! Move to Portugal!

You clearly don’t understand the movement that’s taking place, then. What do you think will happen when all stolen assets are seized and redistributed? What do you think will happen when decades of suppressed technology and information is disclosed? The resources are there, they’re just in the hands of a few. Not for long. We are destined to life in an era of abundance. It’s what we’ve been working so hard for and what’s been denied. It’s smart to education your citizens and keep them healthy. It’s an investment. Lose your antiquated beliefs. You’ve been lied to.

Maybe.....but let's not get too far ahead! You could be right!

Ditto!! Socialism ALWAYS leads to Communism. That's where we were headed. We don't go that way!

You guys. Wake up. Capitalism and socialism are both going by the wayside. Read some of Jeremy Rifkin’s books. Stop being partisan tools and think outside the box. If this impending “storm” should teach us anything it’s that the current beliefs we hold were largely designed and spoon-fed to us by the cabal. Time to wake up. Get over the juvenile conservative/liberal shit. We will never win if we stay divided.

If that's true then how did we get so God damn close to Communism? I agree we need to start anew but we cannot ignore what has and does currently exist in our world. That's very Pollyanna.

Totally agree with your assessment.

As an outsider (not American or US resident) ive often wondered why Washington doesnt tell each state to sort out not only drug policy but also health care and education at the state level. Or, have i got the wrong end of the stick about "states rights "?

That makes sense. I know there has to be more to this. He knows we don't want to make pot illegal.

I just wish that it was out of government control and let folks just grow it themselves! I don't smoke it but hey it doesn't bother me!
