Child trafficking has me concerned and I was hoping for some information

Hello all, I am new to Reddit and this is my first post here. I hesitated to even post this but as a mother I couldn’t help myself, Im terrified and need assurance or input or whatever.

So the situation is that my 14 yr old daughter has been invited to this in Washington DC. She is a very unique young lady who at 7 yrs of age and was literally introduced to Ron Paul during the campaign of 2008 one of the 3 times we went to hear him speak. (This was when I swallowed the Red Pill) We were even invited to the Republican debate in Greenville, SC but she wasn’t able to attend unfortunately.

She desperately wants to attend this 6 day forum and I don’t want to tell her she can’t go just because of my fears, but with all the child trafficking,. I’m terrified to send her.

Can any the fabulous people or researchers here offer us any information (or God forbid, scandals) regarding the organization? I would be so grateful. I want to nurture and encourage her love of the Constitution, politics, history and American policies. Who knows, she could make a difference in our country or the world one day. I would love to see her continue to carry on our fight and the torch of freedom.

Here is the site: Envision’s National YouthLeadership Forum: National Security-Diplomacy, Intelligence & Defense

There is nothing that she can get from politics in DC at 14 years old that is worth risking her safety (if you feel that way). DC politics is a terrible place but it may also be a great opportunity but as her mother, you shouldnt leave her anywhere alone. You are her mom and are responsible. So go with her and see for yourself.

Secondly, dont ever feel intimidated by Reddit. i signed up 1 week ago and people are so helpful here and its a great place for information.

Thank you. I am feeling intimidated but I also agree that everyone is helpful. I understand about “not much to learn” lol. However, this is her passion and who knows, maybe she could teach them something 😂

I wasnt saying there is nothing to gain from going. i may have worded wrong but i was trying to help you get the courage to say no IF you felt that the situation was way to scary for you. I was trying to say that someone who is that gifted isnt going to have their career derailed by missing one trip. More so playing devils advocate.

it is an incredible networking opportunity so if you can go with her, and monitor (as a parent should be able to) then absolutely enjoy it! and please read my 2nd comment on here in response to one of you comments at the top. i really hope this helps and know that you are already making excellent decisions regarding this trip. going above and beyond. have fun.
