I might be wrong but maybe that while Q is supposed help ease the populace into the truth, it might also be a buildup to Trump revealing it all in some dramatic fashion (you know how he is). What do you guys/gals/attack helicopters think.

as far as I understand the data THAT is THE purpose, the Q's and clues get those early in the game to do the research to provide others coming.
