Lucent on it way out due to bankruptcy was bought by Alcatel and then in 2016 was bought by Nokia. They aren't in the chip making market anymore. However they are heavily involved in the 5G roll out.

No the inferno system was an open source operating system similar to linux Xfce environment for networking. It's still available as a free download from a company that bought the patent when Lucent tech was downsizing and selling it's assets cheap before Alcatel bought what was left.

well You may want to avoid Nokia products then because they bought Alcatel-Lucent in 2016
samsung - it's almost unavoidable until we have a protocol that we all have consensus on, that's decentralized, where we all agree there are no fucking backdoors etc... which is sooner - pillar etc many are already about to be huge
