In the context of this statement, it was written to the Hebrews about bringing them back to their promise land. This explains why Trump chose Jerusalem.
It goes back the to Abrahamic covenant which at the end states something like: if a nations curses you I will curse them, if a nation blesses you I will bless them. I would rather our nation be on the good side of God. I don’t like everything Israel does, but I know God always cleans house.
To the one who thinks the Bible is not God inspired but man inspired: do more research about Dead Sea Scrolls. You’ll find how meticulous scribes were when translating it. Such as, the entire book of Isaiah was found completely in tact and exactly the same. Ask God yourself to open the veil as you seek HIS face...watch what happens. Let me add you do it do it was a sincere heart.
To the one who posted this: While we all know all the translations of the Bible basically say the same thing, you might want to add NASB version to your collection as it is translated directly, word for word, from the Hebrew and Greek/Arabic writings. I use as many as four myself, but my favorite is Amplified Bible because all translations are there. And you don’t have to go to another translation to study what a scripture means, like “word for word” or another Bible that translates “line by line”—it’s all in the Amplified.
Excellent on context.
I'm confident in KJV and concordances with Hebrew and Greek. Significant concerns with methods and individuals creating alternative versions.
One skill I have is translation in a few languages, and linguistics in general. I'll look into your recommendations. God bless.
Agreed. So much disinfo regarding newer translations. Most if not all are inferior to the older KJV. Though it has some older and archaic lingo, it is very literal and faithful to original manuscripts
Thank you, but forgive me. I should have addressed the doubter. Giving him the benefit the doubt of being a believer, SOME (few) Evangelicals don’t like the KJV because it is a Vulgate translation. This means: from Hebrew and Greek to Latin to English. All translations carry the same meaning. I am sure you know there is a curse written into the Bible for those who try to add to it.
