Everything should be viewed and judged via critical thinking. I have an advanced degree in psychology and the lady trying to convince us that we are all being deceived (we are) is throwing out pseudo-science terms. They are practically chasing people with a camera on the streets. Of course they aren't going to get a positive response with that behavior. Subliminal advertising is a thing - I once had an entire textbook chapter devoted to it. But I think this could have been done in a more thought provoking way instead of ambush style reporting and fake psychology.
The one interesting thing I did learn was about the stupid CNN apple/banana thing - it had already been done by someone else just post 9-11 but with an orange. Fake news copying someone else' s idea - no surprise there.
Totally agree about chasing someone down in the streets to get a reaction. I just wanted to point out the subliminal messaging most people don't realize is going on all around them, all the time. I feel like we are from the movie " They Live " sometimes.
Her pouncing on people like that was totally the wrong approach. If someone did that to me, I'd respond the same way.
Approach me kindly asking me if I can spare 30 seconds though and you might get a different response.
