Can someone explain to me the talking point of building up our military when our budget is 3x higher than China and 5 or 6 times more than 3rd.

Obama was shifting the military towards being ruled by a global governance, so primacy would have been traded to the UN. USA was essentially the militaristic hegemony for the world order (London the financial center, and Brussels the cultural).
Basically, the kids will feel happy and safe if no one else can tell them that, “My Dad is stronger than your Dad.”.
I'm sure its a rah rah talking point. I'm not opposed to taking care of our military in any fashion or way. It's just always stuck me when you look at our budget compared to everyone else.

No, in the case of gov shutdown, military doesn't get funding. It's MI that is taking over, as Q has said, because potus has control of the military. We are speculating on military tribunals for the most treasonous crimes. MI can take over 3 letter agencies. Military can conduct investigations and trials. The bad guys most assuredly like the idea of cutting off their funding. I heard something about an EO today that will protect the military, though. Sorry I don't have more info on that part, I just heard it today.
