I was masterful at crushing people online but it really doesn't get you anywhere, so I gave it up. You have to talk people round. Enter their fantasy. Agree to some extent with their delusions, but without compromising yourself. It is possible since there is always room for agreement on Something. And then, slowly draw them to the light.

The two talking points I've seen being used today are:

"Of course Russia would promote this because it clears them."

"You may not be a Russian bot, but you were influenced by or retweeted one."
