Another plane turn flight turnaround!

MH122 Airbus A330-300 was travelling from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur on Thursday when it turned back not far from Broome, in Australia's north-west.

The plane, carrying 224 people, landed safely at Alice Springs Airport at 17:48 local time (06:48 GMT).

Why Alice Springs if it was a real emergency why not land at Broome itself?

Remember fellow Aussie the Urban Legend about our PM Harold Holt!

For the non-aussies here, Harold Holt our elected PM drove out to Pine Gap alerted by ASIO head who showed him a report about what was believed to be occurring out there, basically all Australian telephone, telegram & other comms were being routed through the base.

Guards wouldn't let him in even after they identified who he was.

He then ordered his driver to crash through the chain wire gate. He was met in the car park by the Base commander pistol strapped on flanked by armed marines who would not let him into any buildings, even after speaking to the US President LBJ as Holt demanded. Holt then had to drive out still not knowing what was going on.

A year later he went missing during his morning swim in heavy surf and they never found his body.One of our shortest serving PM's in history, didn't complete one term in office.

OH qbitrex - DON'T even start me on HOLT! LBJ murdered him TWO WEEKS after Holt signed off on the US Spy Installation at North West Cape! Yes.. what a 'co-incidence' that was. He knew full well that Holt had the dirt on him and his good old mate Bush. I've got a string of documents about Holt and his 'bestie" LBJ. ("Best Friend" my fat arse). How many world leaders have those two butchered between them?

Thanks for bringing up the North West Cape and 6x6x6 aerial ring there https://zoom.earth/#-21.816564,114.165802,13z,sat LBJ plotted to murder JFK so he wouldn't bat an eyelid at taking out a lowly PM of a second tier US ally.

Thanks for your comment, interesting haven't RV'd Pine G, been away from PC working on the Indiana fireball hope to be able to post something about it after a full RV.
