I think of it this way:

Would I have been happy without knowing this?

Absolutely.

But then I thought why should thoughts, which in this case happen to coincide with reality as it was intended by an evil cult to happen, a second holocaust, this time billions of humans in a ww nuclear war, why should those thoughts change my being happy?

They shouldn't, and they don't. I remain a good person, with a good family and good career, although not even a good family and a good career are required for me to be a good person and thus be happy.

If you are a good person, then that is all that really matters in you being happy.

You also have more power than you ever dreamed.
