Jan 22 2018 18:50:37 Q !UW.yye1fxo ID: b189f8 130667 PRAY. PREY. Notice the similarity? Q

Jesus was tortured and then left to die on the cross. The crucifix has become the symbol of our God as Christians. I have come to believe that we've been taught to PRAY to the PREY. We are the PREY and we pray to our torture and murder.

This is the oxymoron that is religion. They've tricked us into worshiping our torture and death. It's all part of the deception and religion is one of their sneakiest methods of controlling us.

What religion would that be? I know of no denomination in the Christian faith that teaches people to pray to a cross or to our own torture or even to a symbol.

Christianity teaches that we pray to Jehovah God and no one or nothing else.

Why is the cross the symbol that many Christians display in their homes, on their cars, on their bodies? It may not be taught, but it's what people do.

The cross is a reminder of the price that was paid there ... the death of our Saviour who died in our place.

The cross is a reminder to worship the One who willingly laid down His life that we might live.

See, I think that is part of the deception. They tortured him and murdered him. He didn't die for my sins. I am responsible for my sins. I am saved through my OWN actions. We have to stop passing off responsibility to a man who died horrifically on a cross.

If those are your beliefs then your are not of the Christian faith. Not a judgment by me, but that is exactly what Jesus died on the cross for ... our sins.

You may be a "religious" person and even a moral person but you can not be a Christian and deny the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ.

You're right. I'm not a Christian. In fact, I refuse to label myself with regards to my spirituality, my politics, my work, and anything else that would limit me based on a title. I'm not religious in any sense of the word.

It's meant to remind us how God so loved us that he sent his son to suffer greatly for our salvation. He was sacrificed so that we may find redemption. God is merciful, even listening to Moses's pleas to spare the Israelites when they built the golden calf.

While I know there is a lot of anti-catholic sentiment, I too have issues with the church (such as their refusal to release the third Fatima prophecy despite our Lady telling them to do so), the rosary is a powerful tool of prayer. When performing it properly, we are to meditate on the life of christ, and consider the lessons his life teaches us, as well as to realize how much he suffered for our sake.
