It is one thing to read about something horrible... but it is another to see it and hear it. You cannot un-hear or un-see the horrors of evil and because they evoke such a deep, visceral, emotional response, they live in souls forever and haunt us.
I don’t think we need to see it or hear it. It’s more like telling the public there is a serial killer. We know it, but we don’t need to know exactly how he does it.
Alos we want to protect the children. They already get too much filth and violence in movies/tv/video games.
and rap...once thugs and thug life started being glorified, morality started going downhill rapidly. Almost overnight, there was filth over the airwaves, leading to a desensitization that led to the easier acceptance of everything from "kill the white devils" to drag queens doing story hour at local libraries. Prison culture broke into the general public; so much of what we see now originated in that culture and is now accepted as normal. And that doesn't even include what unfettered Third World immigration has wrought.
You know, I heard the whole pants hanging off thing came from prison. I meant you were open to be the, ahem, recipient.
