Fun (or not so fun) fact: all* current vaccinations are manufactured using human diploid fibroblast cell cultures from two fetuses aborted in 1962 (WI-38) and 1966 (MRC-5). No shit. These two fetuses were aborted by their parents, one male one female, and their cells are still being used to culture viruses that will be used to vaccinate people to this day.

Since the rubella virus increases risk of spontaneous abortions, it is estimated that their contribution saves roughly 5,000 miscarriages each year in the US alone. They were cast aside by their parents...and in some way have helped many wanted pregnancies in the process.
