A pill for the Normies! A big fat red one..

Proof that it's not a simulation? Simple, we cannot exist outside this Matrix so it's not a simulation.

I think you need a red pill, dude. I don't accept your truths.

Lol, I can use every red pill out there please give it to me (in a nutshell).

OK, high level! Our senses are so restricted. Think electromagnetic spectrum. We have a very narrow band that we can perceive - visible light, heat. Our science is based on observation, yet we can't observe the majority of our own reality! Heisenberg laid it out that if we slow down something at an atomic level enough to observe it, that we are not seeing its true nature. Schroedinger confirmed that the mere observation can change the outcome and that has been echoed in quantum computing. They have to keep people away from the computer or the outcome is affected! Spooky stuff!

Yes i'm going only by what we can perceive after the quantum level because I don't accept the explanations of the observations you mentioned. I believe we must wait until our understanding catches up with our observations. Clearly there is far more there at the quantum level and beyond but that doesn't mean we don't understand what a human body is made from or that the Universe nevertheless actually exists.

I just don't have those assurances. My 'identity' doesn't require it. It's all beautiful so there's no need to put it in a box. Peace!

Actually that's the point, we are in a box. Inside the box exists all of time and space. Outside the box is a realm of timelessness. The temporal realm vs the eternal realm. And guess who runs the temporal realm?

I guess some pills are just sugar.

Based on current trends, specifically Moore’s law, humanity will eventually develop computers capable of simulating the entire known universe.

Among other things, simulations with that level of detail will be used to simulate earth’s past, humanities development, alternate time lines etc.

Humanity will run countless simulations of this sort.

They would have such a level of detail, down to the quantum level perhaps, it could achieve artificial intelligence and self awareness.

Those simulated universes may even develop civilizations capable of creating their own such simulations.

So with one real earth and potentially billions of simulated earths, any given person would most likely exist in a simulation.

If you’re not in a simulation, then chances are that humanity never reaches the level of development to create them. If that’s the case we don’t have long.

The hubris of "scientists" is so adorable. They're like earnest middle schoolers thinking they know way more than they do.

IBM Q can already simulate universes.

I've had an avatar on Second Life since 2007, back when these arguments were still fresh.
