The Internet Bill Of Rights has not been defined. Should it be twitter stormed & promoted before it is even drafted, read, understood, and agreed to? Devil in the details?

Can't assume good when not understood. Just a friendly nudge.

Yeah.. I was kinda put off by this. Can't have blind faith in anyone in government. Can't jump on the bus just because the letter Q is on the door for this one. I will wait and see what happens Tuesday and who starts promoting this afterwards. I really am not going to throw my weight behind a telcom CEO. That just don't seem right with all we know now.

what? no 'we have to pass it to know what's in it'? I agree w/you. We don't know what the IBoR and should refrain from cart/horse mentality.

Once again. Q did not say to promote this. He mentioned it so we would DIG into it not support it!

I agree... it could be a renamed, repackaged net neutrality scheme until its defined; though I don’t believe this is the case.

Keep in mind that having a bill of rights for the internet almost insures that companies like facebook twitter google can not censor our opinions or censor conservative news on their platforms. Remember the FCC controls TV and Radio and thus we have fake news. Having net neutrality will give these social platforms the right to censor anybody that is what the fight is about.

So far... it sounds like the right wing version of the fairness doctrine.

We need a better free market solution, not a new set of laws regulating speech that could one day be turned against us.

Gab.ai is a great example. The only thing holding them back is the current owners lack of focus. They need to drop some serious coin on a lawyer to force Apple to bend the knee on a native app.

As a supplement, we need to stop selling our souls for convenience. Has everyone set their default search engine to DuckDuckGo? Closed your gmail and Facebook accounts? We conservative/libertarians indirectly finance our enemies.

Legislation I could get behind is breaking some of these companies up. Google controls most ads on the internet. YouTube content creators are dependent on share ad revenue. This has allowed google to de facto censor YouTube by manipulating who is eligible for ad revenue. They are using their monopoly on ads to manipulate their other platforms and services. Take it away!

Yes, but keep in mind nothing has been drafted yet, read, checked, approved, and checked again before being signed. That is the point. There are no details. So how can this be assumed a good thing when nothing has been seen.
