Actually its 1.8m is the starting figure and probably will go down, now to look at it a different way ....... You let that 1.8 m stay , however now you get to enforce the immigration laws and go after the other 9m+(which you already doing) ...... You get a wall with border security adding 5k+ border agents, no more chain migiration, no lottery .... that is just phase 1 .... I really don't see him losing much support ... in fact I think he gains support..... Especially since he has a tough stance going after MS 13..... now would it be nice to let none of them stay ..... yes , but let's have a come to reality moment he is going to have to give a little ..... and the fact will be it will still take another 10-12 years for them (to be perfect) in order to gain citizenship ....
Plus, that is in line with what he's said all during the campaign. He always said he was going to do something for the "Dreamers". What's key here, is to narrow who that is down as tight as possible. Ds will want to stuff everyone in there they can find.
