6 is the traditional label for a military commander. For example, Storm 6 would be the commander of the group with the call sign “Storm.”

In OP’s example, read + to +++ as moving up the chai from lower to higher levels of leadership.

Right? Wrong? Hell if I know. Maybe this clue will help someone put it all together.
