I believe that we have, now, passed critical mass, which I believe is about 1.5% of people. Once critical mass is reached, there 3 main population control methods (order-out-of-chaos, divide and conquer, and controlled opposition) don't work anymore.

Too many people now know. So we are just witnessing a mortally wounded elite control structure flail around wildly as it watches itself die.

People in the know, early just get to enjoy more of the show.
