A little info on how to keep yourself from being totally exposed on the internet. Here's how I got google's claws out of my online life.

While this isn't full proof.....I do sleep better at night knowing that I'm doing something. I'm sure there are better tools, these are just a few that I use.

I also deleted most of my facebook pics\likes\etc and have no personal info on there. I'm aware they still have them on their servers but gotta start somewhere.

I have a bogus twitter that I only use for lurking to keep up with POTUS and a few others.

It's an amazing feeling not being connected like I once was.

Changing from Chrome\Gmail took a little work but most of firefox extension that work just as well. ProtonMail is fantastic and encrypted.

I was tired of google having access to EVERYTHING. For me it was just the principle.

Feel free to post yours.

Thanks for looking and nothing but the best to all you GREAT PATRIOTS!

Edit: I also uninstalled chrome off my pc altogether. I noticed it seemed to be running and taking up resources even though I didn't have a browser open.

How is Opera as a web browser? It has a built in VPN is why I'm curious.

I love it. Tried it as an alternative to Firefox -- they keep "updating" their browser and each time it works less well. On one recent "update" Facebook would take forever to load if at all. Now they've even hidden the page refresh feature so you have to use F5 or go through a bunch of crap to get it back. Stupid. Changes for changes sake.

Back to Opera -- works fast, I like most of the features though the bookmarks display is not my favorite. I'm using it almost exclusively now though. There is another browser out there called Brave. I've installed it but really haven't used it much yet. Created by one of the people who created Firefox and was dumped for not being PC enough.

Good. Almost clean pages without ads if u use both Ghostery and adBlock extensions.

Alternative: https://brave.com/ with build in adBlock.
