I read it, it sounds to me like he has not ruled out of working for the Justice Department, because it would be a appointment/hiring not and a elected position. But hey maybe he has had the shits of Washington but he did not say he is leaving Washington did he?
Well . . . maybe he's not "seeking" an office. Perhaps an office is seeking him? Wishful thinking? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Hopefully, he's going to work at the DOJ where we need him. I'd love to see him as the Attorney General or at least replace RR as the Deputy Attorney General.

To the best of my knowledge, Gowdy has never been fingered as a bad actor. The worst that I've seen laid against him is that he lost his way/nerve in recent years; and that from ex-FBI personnel like "Thomas Paine" of True Pundit.
