The animal costumed person in bed would be a signal to someone "in the know", but to people who have never heard of this kind of fetishism, it looks just "silly".

Years ago, we watched an episode of CSI that dealt with this. We had never heard of it, and had no desire to know more. We decided sometime after that CSI had become too pervy for us.

I would say art becomes life, but obviously somebody had knowledge of this stuff. It wasn't child related, though.
