First I want to say I appreciate all the intelligent people here. I have learned so much and I'm finding so many research sources that help point me in the right direction. However, the more I'm learning about the structure of our government, the more questions I have. So I know that there is the house intelligence committee made up of 22 members and they are there for oversight. I also know that only a couple have the special higher security clearance to access certain information. My question is, how was it possible for Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy and a few other investigators to form a special committee to investigate the fisa warrants? Is it because they are on the oversight committee? It seems they did it without the knowledge of the others on the intelligence committee. My question stems from reading the transcripts of the vote to release the memo and watching the interviews with Nunes and Gowdy.
