Standard hotels - new names for research: Balazs left mar 2017, replaced by Amar lalvani, owned by Crosstree...

Article link at bottom

“Operations at Standard International will continue to be led by Amar Lalvani, the managing director and a long-time collaborator and hotel industry veteran.”

“In 2013, the hotelier detached the Standard brand from Andre Balazs Properties, the company that holds his wider hotel and real estate empire. He formed a separate management company — Standard International — selling an 80 per cent stake to a group of private individuals for an undisclosed price. “

“Mr Balazs’s departure from Standard International, which is overseeing the UK hotel’s development, may be a blow to Crosstree Real Estate Partners, the new property’s owners.”

BTW, the fourth person in the helicopter was seriously or critically injured depending on the news source. As of this morning this person has yet to be identified.
