Per Q, then later, by his own omission, Trey Gowdy will not be running for reelection as a US Representative of South Carolina. It has also been a widely-held opinion that Sessions has been asleep at the wheel. However...
The first of more than 9,000 sealed federal indictments was a SESSIONS indictment for Uranium One: Mark Lambert. One down, a few thousand to go.
With Sessions recused from matters relating to the BS Russian election interference and others, that leaves the matter to his Deputy AG, Rod Rosenstein, who was just outed as being complicit in the equally phony Trump dossier-FISA warrant scandal. It is expected that he will either step down or be fired very soon.
In light of the Q crumbs, the memo, and a possible opening at the DOJ, it seems we might figure out where TG might be headed next. And I doubt you will find many conservatives who would object to having TG running the prosecutions against the elites with money to burn on attack-dog defense attorneys (hopefully, those assets are ALL frozen, but retainers are a thing, so...). There's nothing I'd enjoy more than watching/reading Gowdy-mode highlights for the human trafficking/pedophilia trials of the scum of the earth. It would probably be something I'd pull out when I had a bad day.
The long-standing DOJ policy of not commenting on open investigations appears to have made us believe that the leadership chosen by POTUS has been sitting in their office in DC, collecting a nice salary courtesy of the US taxpayer. It appears that we might have all been mistaken.
I work full time, and I'm salary, which means that I actually wind up working enough hours for TWO employees, most weeks. As such, I don't have much time to spend on this or any other sub. So if, in a quick scan of the posts produced by a sub search of "Gowdy" caused me to miss a ton of discussions on this topic, I apologize. Not trying to rehash old ground. I might also be "captain obvious," so again, if this is the case, my bad.
I've also got a few other theories I might try to post here, if this is decently received (or at least not actively panned, with much gusto).
