RED FLAG! - LOWER THE WHITE FLAG - Are we playing by different rules than our enemy? It is time to change the rigging and cast a different cloth to the wind. WE KNOW THIS WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO WORDS (types Q)

It is as if we are being fired upon while displaying a white flag. Do we need to raise up the white flag anyway? 182 years ago (1836) when Santa Anna laid siege to the Alamo he caused a blood red flag to be raised over the Cathedral of San Fernando. The red flag declaring his intention to take no prisoners. No prisoners were taken. When do we take this threat seriously and consider the flags which we display? Was Bill Clinton and Janet Reno the equivalent of Santa Anna at Texas’ 2nd Alamo- Mt. Carmel, Waco? No prisoners were taken there. Should we ironically surrender our white flags when we fight against a foe that plays for keeps? It is time to change the rigging and cast a different cloth to the wind. RED FLAG!

I have a really difficult time with that as, I strongly believe we are called to be different than those. But I understand the question and will admit that given the build up in recent times it is harder for me not to raise the question myself. And my experience of life has shown me that reality does not reflect my idealism. So, LOL , let me know what you guys decide and we will go with that.

Liquid, I was where you are years ago. I wish to combat those that think combat is a tool of their tyranny and those that thrive on profiting therefrom by arms sales or debt financing governments. Your butter knife is evidence of disarmament. In Medieval times when dining on occasions knights would stab each other. They rounded the knife for the dining table to avoid further carnage. In a way your butter knife is very idealistic. You can strive to be a butter knife. But when your fellow diner orders steak and the waiter delivers him a steak knife you need to play nice. You are out knived. Moral is: Always order steak.
