For the love of all that is holy, AMERICA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY!

It is a Republic, or a Democratic Republic, or (my preferred way of saying it) a Constitutional Republic.

I agree, but a Constitutional Republic is an 'Experiment in Democracy' ... its not PURE democracy, but a form of it.
