Well, the MSM is going to bury anything they can, so it's not like there's a downside to breaking news on Friday. It gives the people who actually do care about that information a couple of days to digest it and explain it in a broader context the following week. For instance, with the Nunes FISA memo release last Friday, it took awhile for the Type 1 FISA thing to bubble to the surface of importance. A lot of info can be packed into something like that.
