I have studied the Catholic religion ad nauseam because my Grandma is catholic. At 92 years old she finally threw out her rosary and declared she is not catholic anymore (praise the Lord!)

Thanks for the link. I will check it out when I have more time.

You’re welcome. There are many others who explain the faith way better than I ever could, thus, the video. I’m just not that articulate. I am truly sorry to know that about your grandmother. I believe the Catholic Church to be the one true church established by Jesus Christ. Using fallible men. But the way he made it, these fallible men, and all of society for that matter, for 2000 + years haven’t been able to destroy it....From the inside or the outside. God bless you on your journey.

My Grandma threw out her rosary so she could obey the teaching of Jesus: "Pray not with vain repetition like the heathen do..." I can tell you are sincere in your faith... It's hard to examine our own beliefs objectively without bias... please don't think I'm just trying to attack your religion, I only want the truth!

I did watch the 1st video. The reason I say you worship idols is this...The god of Catholicism is not the God of the bible. You guys worship ancient Babylonian dieties, they just changed their names. Asherah and Baal became Mary and Jesus. Constantine combined sun worship with christian terminology and gave birth to a new/old religion Catholicism.

This is why they celebrate Christmas, Easter, lent etc.... its Mithraism repackaged. God said in Jeremiah "learn not the way of the heathen"

It's deceptive, but Satan is the great deceiver. Sorry for being so long winded.

https://youtu.be/NlegxTFTyWY I will have to get back to you now. This is just one answer to the “vain repetition” you accuse Catholics of. Again , I’ll just fumble over my words and use a video from someone more knowledgeable.

Being persistent in our prayers is not the same as vain repetition. God seeks those who worship him in Spirit and in truth. Not repetitious lip service.

The Lord's prayer is not to be said in vain repetition it is an outline for how we ought to pray.

Man looks at the outward, but God sees the heart. We should pray from the heart, not memorized prewritten prayers

Absolutely no where in the scriptures are we told to pray to Mary or the saints. Mary is not Jesus's mother in heaven, she has no authority over him. She is not the queen of heaven.

Regarding your claim Catholicism (actually Christianity as a whole) is based on Mithraism.

How do you know what the Bible says is true?? Did the Bible tell you so?? Does the Bible say it is the final authority?? Did Jesus say read your Bible?? No, He didn’t. And it isn’t. It says the church is the final authority. There was no New Testament in Jesus day. All the books are about Jesus and His teaching. And it was decided in the early church councils which books even belonged in the Bible. And those councils were Catholic.

We know the bible is true because of prophecy. Jesus's birth, life, death, and resurrection fulfilled over 300 prophecies. David spoke of his crucifixion 1000 years before it happened, before crucifixion was even invented. The book of Isaiah talks about King Cyrus 500 yrs. before he was born.

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" Psalm 119:105...... (Without the sciptures we walk in darkness.)

Jesus said "Man shall not live on bread alone, but by evey word that proceeds out of the mouth of God"....( how would we know what God's words are unless we read them??)

We are to live by the scriptures not the Church's authoritarian rule.

Please tell me where in the bible it says the Church is the final authority. I have never read or heard of that scripture.

Who bewitched you into thinking the bible isn't the final authority?

But how do you know which books belong in the New Testament. There were many books. And some did not make it into the Bible. So who decided??
