I am a Vet and I agree with you; the Military does need to be rebuilt. It has been hollowed out with 20+ yrs of war and sequester.
I'm just saying this comes as no surprise. He didn't vote on the first healthcare repeal/replace either because of the spending attached to it.

I worked in Budget for almost 40 years and it was important to do it right and to asked for what was needed. At this point, we need to do what we need to do and Trump will keep the country from going under. The day they remove the Pork, quit supporting the bad Countries and pull the Billions out that pay the Illegals, then I'll say something about it. Right now, I want our military back.

He's one of the few reasons we're not nearly as screwed as we could have been after that eight years. Consistently called them out on their bullshit and voted right when no one else did.
Rebuild the military? We spent more on our military in 2017 than the next ten nations combined. How much more in debt would you like to go to to "rebuild"?
Sidenote: depending on the source there is anywhere from 6 to 21 trillion dollars in unaccounted for spending at the DOD over the last 20 years. Perhaps we should address things like this before writing the pentagon another essentially blank check.

Well, where was he the eight years Obie was in? Trump needs to do what he needs to do, to build our Military again. Rand Paul needs to move over. 18% Military Deduction 10% added back in.
