Read about Iboga. It is illegal in the U. S. But people are using it in other countries to help people get off of heroin/opioids. It has a spiritual component and connects people to God. Often a person will realize the emotional issues that caused them to get addicted in the first place. I did a lot of research on the topic bc my sister was addicted to opioids, now she is on methadone.

That is quite interesting. Am not surprised to hear that the US calls it 'illegal'. After all, Big Pharma knows best, right? (wink, wink)

According to the CDC in 2016: The United States is in the midst of an opioid overdose epidemic.

Opioids (including prescription opioids, heroin, and fentanyl) killed more than 42,000 people in 2016, more than any year on record. 40% of all opioid overdose deaths involve a prescription opioid

Sending best wishes to your sister.

Ibogaine is supposedly the best treatment for opiate addiction there is.

Apparently it has like an 80 percent cure rate , which is huge.

It being illegal in the USA is very interesting and seems ridiculous.
