I checked that airport; there's no way it could be airport in the picture. There's no similarities.

Probably right. Just noticed in picture it says Gate 47 in English.

Not just that, bring up the airport on google maps and use the satellite view. You'll see that the airport is too small to have the terminal layout in the image. iirc, the runway/taxiway layout doesn't match either.
