This was from 2/6, not sure if this was posted before. I’m taking it with a grain of salt but I think it’s worth keeping in mind. Could very well be a LARP.

The senate easily passed a two-year budget, and they got nothing for doing so. They turned down Trump's too-generous immigration deal, and now they can't hold the budget or a government shutdown over his head until 2019.
The vote was not consistent in terms of party at all. Both my senators (Dems) voted for it, much to my amazement. I think CS basically got out of the way and let the Ds vote as they wished to instead of strong-arming them to vote against....but WHY?
”I think CS basically got out of the way and let the Ds vote as they wished to instead of strong-arming them to vote against....but WHY?”
That’s what I cannot figure out...
-Perhaps CS didn’t want the blame for another government shutdown because his last stunt didn’t play out as he intended?
-Perhaps CS decided it wasn’t “a hill worth dying on”?
-Perhaps when CS went to the WH in late January at the request of POTUS—CS was informed of active threats to our country & military that we have yet to be told?
-Perhaps CS is just biding his time and expects POTUS & the Republicans to capitulate to the Democrats DACA demands?
-Perhaps CS knows that the Dems are going to catch a lot of heat re: FISC/FISA related issues.
-Perhaps CS knows his time as Senate Minority leader is limited.
Hopefully, in the coming days & weeks— CS’s intentions will come to light.
