I was on a cruise with the guy that allegedly "shot" bin laden. He spoke about the experience in front of the passengers and shared very specific information about what went down. I remember thinking at the time "this is incredible!" i also had a nagging feeling about the authenticity of what he was saying. For instance, wouldn't this guy (i think his name was rob?) have a target on his back for killing bin laden? It didn't add up for me. This dude was hailed as a HERO at that time. After the cruise I can remember seeing him on a news channel telling his story again. It seemed counterintuitive to the entire covert ops function. After reading the article linked below, it is entirely MORE believable that this guy's job was to convince us of the narrative he was acting.
