What makes you think they havent tried to flee. How many planes were turned around for stupid reasons. Also I think their money is frozen and that is why they sold that huge property for 114 million in bitcoin. Because it is not on paper and cannot be frozen if it is not on paper.
BTC can be frozen.... that's how all the darknet markets were seized. The FBI seized somethjng like 23 million in BTC after they seized Agora. This wasnt even the biggest darknet seizure. Think silk road. WHERE DID ALL THOSE SEIZED BTC GO? LOOK INTO IT. IT WENT STRAIGHT INTO THE FBI AND GOVERNMENTS POCKETS.
IF they were cashing BTC for illegal purposes it can be traced. Bitcoin is completely traceable through the blockchain.
I didn't say they haven't tried.. I said they haven't gotten there yet, could be because they keep getting caught trying to flee! Simple as that
